On May 11th, 2025, on the first night of their cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas, Matthew proposed to Lisa Marie in the beautiful Central Park area of the ship. Surrounded by twinkling lights and lush greenery, it was the perfect setting for such a special moment. Both of them were overcome with emotion and happy tears as Matthew got down on one knee. They spent the rest of the evening dreaming about their future together, sharing hopes, plans, and all the excitement of the life they’re building side by side. The rest of the trip was pure magic, easily the best vacation ever, as they lived in their engagement bubble, soaking in every moment of love, joy, and celebration.

The Proposal

Lisa and Matthew's love story began when Lisa was in high school and Matthew was taking courses at the local community college. What started as young love quickly grew into something real and lasting—and the rest is history. After years of laughter, and growth together, they're thrilled to finally say "I do" surrounded by the people they love most. Here's a throwback to where it all began—a picture at prom!

Where it all began

Rico and Luna are the heart of Lisa and Matthew’s little family, filling their lives with joy, comfort, and laughter. These two pups have taught them so much about love, patience, and what it means to care for something wholeheartedly. Thanks to Rico and Luna, Lisa and Matthew are more excited than ever for the future and can’t wait to one day grow their pack with little ones of their own!

Meet Our Fur Babies

Lisa and Matthew’s first vacation together was an unforgettable cruise to the Caribbean in the summer of 2016, sailing out of New York City. It was Matthew’s first cruise ever, and their first big adventure as a couple, filled with sunshine, ocean views, and endless memories. That trip sparked their love for traveling together, and since then, they’ve been on 10 cruises and counting!

First Vacation 

For a few years, Lisa and Matthew tackled the challenge of long distance—Lisa was away at college in Florida while Matthew was living in New Jersey. It wasn’t always easy, but they made it work with regular FaceTime dates, constant communication, and a lot of love. They racked up the miles flying back and forth, always making sure they never went too long without seeing each other in person. Going the distance

Matthew has been Lisa’s biggest supporter through every chapter of her academic journey. From high school to her undergraduate and graduate degrees, he was always there, cheering her on, celebrating every achievement, and offering steady encouragement through the tough moments. After standing by her side through it all, he’s earned an honorary master’s degree just for being her rock along the way.

Danielle is my closest friend and the one I can always count on. She’s not only been an incredible support to me, but she’s also a wonderful friend to Matthew, making her an irreplaceable part of our lives.

Freddie is Lisa’s brother and, over the years, has become one of my closest friends. We have so much in common and always have a great time together. I’m thrilled to officially call him my brother-in-law!

Olivia is the kid sister I never had. She can always make me laugh, inspires me to be a better person every day, and somehow turns every moment we spend together into an adventure. With her, it’s never a dull moment!

Dario and I have been inseparable since sixth grade. We’ve shared countless jokes, late-night talks, and memories that span decades. He’s not just a best friend he’s family.

Steven is like my little brother, as he is Dario’s brother. He’s always up for an adventure or just a laid-back day of gaming. No matter what we’re doing, we always have a great time together.

Gianna and I met during our graduate school program and quickly became each other’s support system through an incredibly stressful time. I never would have thought that one of my closest friends would be a Patriots and Red Sox fan, but I couldn’t be happier to call her my buddy.

Ari and I have been friends for a long time, growing up playing sports together. From childhood games to our Giants-versus-Jets rivalry, and even him visiting us in Florida, he’s been a lifelong friend.

Rebecca, my big in Sigma Kappa, is one of my amazing friends. She’s the person I turn to whenever I need support or advice, and she always comes through! Reliable, supportive, and full of laughter, I’m so grateful to have her by my side on our big day.

Jordy and I have been great friends for over ten years, especially through all the suffering the Giants have put us through.

Rose and I met during COVID, and even though it was a crazy time, our friendship has only grown stronger. She’s still here, bringing laughter, support, and joy into my life. Dependable and hilarious, I’m so grateful our bond has lasted ever since

Shawn and I have been friends since elementary school. No matter how much time passes or how far apart we are, we always pick up right where we left off.

Barbara is one of my longest-lasting friends—we’ve been close since middle school and can always pick up exactly where we left off. I’m so grateful to have her as a friend, for all the laughs, memories, and support she’s shared with me over the years!

I met Justin after moving to Florida through his girlfriend, Kelly, who’s not only a close friend of Lisa’s but also one of her bridesmaids. We clicked instantly, both being from Jersey, and have grown especially close over the years, whether we’re talking sports, taking trips together, or playing late-night blackjack.

Kelly is a friend I met at FAU in class! She’s always up for a good time and brings so much laughter and energy wherever she goes. I’m so happy to have her as a bridesmaid by my side—and even happier that I sat next to her in class that day!
